Flood watch issued. How much rain will we get?

UNDATED-- (WTVY) -Flooding could be an issue this weekend and early next week, with excessive rainfall possible.

Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry, and Houston Counties in Alabama are included in the flood watch area, as are Florida’s panhandle and Big Bend and a broad area of south Georgia.

According to the National Weather Service, periods of heavy rain that could bring three to five inches are possible through Monday which could flood roadways. Rain totals will vary depending on location.

While flooding could make driving hazardous, the rain is welcomed relief to the drought-like conditions that have persisted lately.
