Mongolian Ice Hockey Team Claims Bronze from U18 Asia Oceania Cup

Ulaanbaatar, May 2, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The International Ice Hockey Federation U18 Asia and Oceania Cup held in Tashkent and Samarkand in Uzbekistan brought together 10 international teams that competed from April 23-30, 2024.


The Mongolian Ice Hockey Team defeated the Indian team 32-0, the Macau team 25-0, and the Indonesian team 8-2. However, the Mongolian team lost to the Thailand team 6-3. Then, the Mongolian team won against the Emirati team 4-2, securing the bronze medal for the second consecutive year in the U18 Cup with four wins and one loss. Additionally, Mongolian forward Tsengel Undarmaa was awarded the “Best Player” nomination, further solidifying the team's success in the tournament.
