150 Indian students who successfully completed their MBBS degrees in Uzbekistan were honoured at a graduation ceremony held at AIG Hospital on Thursday. These students had initially been pursuing their medical education in Ukraine before being relocated to Uzbekistan due to the Russia-Ukraine war.
A highlight of the event was the success rate of students in the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). Out of the 150 students, 114 cleared the FMGE on their first attempt, making them eligible to practice medicine in India.
Chairman of AIG Hospitals Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy underscored the importance of maintaining the integrity of medical profession and striving for excellence. Recognising his contributions to global healthcare and medical education, the Uzbekistan Ministry of Health honoured Dr. Reddy with the Avicenna Award and an Honorary Professorship.
Managing Director of Neo Institute Divya Raj Reddy reiterated the institute’s commitment to fostering quality medical education and providing aspiring doctors with the best possible training and guidance.
