NEW DELHI: The race to become the first ever
trillion dollar company by market valuation (m-cap) is getting hotter and narrower by the day.
Apple is clearly in the lead, but
Amazon and
Alphabet (
Google's parent) have been adding value at a faster rate in the past few months.
Here's how the top IT companies were placed on July 16:Picture this, TCS' m-cap, which is placed at the last spot with $111 billion in the above graphic, stood more than the GDP of more than 120 countries (as of April 24, 2018).
Countries like Ecuador, Slovakia, Kenya, Luxembourg, Costa Rica, Bulgaria, Belarus and Sri Lanka have their GDP less than the $100 billion-mark.
If TCS' market valuation is so huge, then we can easily take a wild guess that how much Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet would actually weigh in.
