TAROUBA, Trinidad, (CMC) – Left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul snatched three of the four remaining wickets to end with five in the innings and nine in the match, as Guyana Jaguars routed Trinidad and Tobago Red Force by an innings and 217 runs in their fourth round match here Sunday.

Skipper Leon Johnson was named Player-of-the-Match for his splendid innings of 163 in the first innings.

Resuming the final day of the day/night encounter at the Brian Lara Stadium on 108 for six in their innings and with little hope of saving the match, the hosts were dismissed for 175, 10 minutes before lunch to hand Jaguars their third win of the Regional Four-Day Championship.

Imran Khan and Daniel St Clair, both not out overnight, made joint top scores of 28 while captain Denesh Ramdin, batting at number nine, finished unbeaten on 22.
Permaul claimed five for 54 to end with match figures of nine for 97.
The victory saw the three-time reigning champions move to 64.8 points, extending their lead at the top of the table to 20 points over second placed Leeward Islands Hurricanes.
Red Force, meanwhile, suffered their first loss of the tournament slipped to fourth on 41.8 points after starting the round in second spot.

Jaguars did not have to wait long to find their first success when St Clair perished in the day’s second over after adding just two, caught at the wicket off Permaul with the total on 112.
Imran Khan, on 20 at the start, also fell to the combination of Permaul and wicketkeeper Anthony Bramble who also snared catches to account for the last two batsmen Bryan Charles (1) and Sheldon Cottrell (7).

Ramdin consumed 80 balls at the crease with two boundaries in a desperate attempt to extend their match past the first interval but Permaul had other ideas.
